Operations Manager – IUC F2F Services
Who we are
We’re IC24, a not-for-profit social enterprise providing high-quality Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) across the South and East of England. Every year, we deliver care to millions of patients through our 111, Clinical Assessment, and Face-to-Face Urgent Care Services.
We’re proud of our values - Innovation, Care, Respect and Excellence - and they’re at the heart of everything we do. Our purpose is simple: to make sure every patient gets the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
Our Face-to-Face (F2F) services are a vital part of that mission, providing urgent care out of hours when patients need it most. We’re a team that cares deeply about people -our patients and our colleagues - and we’re looking for a leader who shares that passion.
The role
As Operations Manager - Face-to-Face Integrated Urgent Care Services, you’ll take day-to-day responsibility for our clinical and non-clinical out-of-hours teams across Norfolk. You’ll manage Team Managers and oversee a workforce of around 100 colleagues, including clinicians, receptionists, drivers, and admin teams.
You’ll be accountable for ensuring our OOH sites run safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, quality and regulatory standards. That means managing rotas, performance, budgets and resources - while keeping patient experience, colleague engagement and operational excellence front and centre.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll spend time on-site with your teams, ensuring they feel supported, valued and motivated. You’ll lead by example - engaging with frontline colleagues, building strong working relationships, and creating a culture where everyone understands the part they play in delivering excellent patient care.
You’ll also work closely with our clinical and quality leads to identify improvements, develop new ways of working and drive continuous service enhancement. Externally, you’ll represent IC24 with local system partners, helping to strengthen integration across urgent and primary care pathways.
What you’ll need
You’ll be an experienced operational leader who thrives in a fast-moving, people-focused environment. You’ll understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and visible leadership - especially within services that run 24/7.
Proven experience managing operational teams within a service delivery environment.
Excellent people leadership skills with experience managing multiple teams or locations.
Strong communicator who can inspire, influence and engage at all levels.
Experience managing rotas, resources and budgets effectively.
Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements.
Flexible, resilient and hands-on - comfortable working in an out-of-hours environment.
What you’ll get
When you join IC24, you’ll be part of a team that’s made to be brave - where your ideas are valued, your growth is supported, and your wellbeing matters.
We’ll offer you:
Basic salary between £45,000 - £49,000 p/a DOE
NHS Pension Scheme
Employee recognition schemes and access to our Heartbeat benefits platform (including Blue Light Card discounts)
24/7 wellbeing and counselling support
Learning and development opportunities to support your career and leadership journey
Flexible working arrangements
The chance to make a genuine difference for patients and communities across Norfolk
