My client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic/MOT Tester to join their automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet safety standards. Responsibilities
* Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles pass or identifying necessary repairs.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including engine, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
* Assist in ordering parts and managing inventory to ensure smooth workflow.
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and professionally.
Candidates need to be qualified and have experience.
