Financial Controller
Location: Preston
Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits
Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance operations for a £15m turnover site, operating within a PE-backed group turning over £100m+. This is a high-impact role offering site autonomy while benefiting from the strength, scale, and pace of a growing group environment.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take full ownership of site-level financial control while partnering closely with operational teams to drive performance and profitability. You will also manage and develop a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
* Detailed variance analysis with clear insight and recommendations
* Business partnering with operational teams to drive profit and efficiency
* Stakeholder management across site and group level
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP
* Lead, coach and develop a team of 2
* Support continuous improvement and commercial decision‑making
About You
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
* Strong background in management accounting and commercial finance
* Confident working in a fast‑paced, PE-backed environment
* Naturally collaborative with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
