About the job

Boolean is looking for experienced cybersecurity specialists to teach highly motivated students who are looking to boost their careers.

This position is fully remote, part-time, during business hours (CET).

The course will last roughly 6 months, with an average weekly effort of about 4 hours, for a total of ~60 hours of total teaching hours.

Contract type

* Part-time (2~4 hours/week)
* Freelance / Contractor
* Duration: 5~7 months, with the possibility to extend to other courses and opportunities within our network
* Salary: 40-50€ per hour

Who we are

Boolean is an online academy that helps passionate people become software engineers.

We take people with lots of potential and turn them into quality developers through our intensive, full-time courses.

We've taken the best of classroom teaching (1:1 support, pair and group work, sense of community) and we've fused it with online lessons. In this way, we've been able to create an intensive full-time course with live teaching that students can follow from the comfort of their homes.

What do Teachers do?

The main activities are:

* Develop teaching material
* Run sessions for small classes
* Mentor young students and professionals
* Provide exercises and activities for self-study
* Pass on industry knowledge and passion

Teachers also continuously improve course content, working on developing and updating the materials such as exercises, lessons, and documentation.

The work doesn't stop with teaching: Teachers help students understand the DNA of a cybersecurity specialist, injecting them with a thirst for knowledge, a problem-solver mindset, and a healthy dose of geekiness.

Requirements

These are absolute musts to cover this role:

* Eloquent and fluent in English, both written and spoken
* Ability to reliably work remotely
* 3+ years of experience working as a cybersecurity specialist
* Availability to start in two weeks with course development and in April for teaching

Other preferred qualifications

Additional requirements that would make you stand out:

* Experience working with web technologies
* Previous experience with teaching

Extra

Not required, but we would love to see them for this position!

* Ability to speak Italian and/or living in Italy

Interview process

* Application review
* First interview (non-technical, 30 minutes), with the Head of Teaching; get to know each other and validate fit
* Second interview (technical, 1 hour), with the teaching team
* Offer and negotiation
* Total expected time to hire: a few days to a couple of weeks

Location

* Remote (Global)
