Shoes Category team in India is looking for a Sr. Category Manager to own and drive the scale-up of categories and critical customer-focused initiatives. The person who joins this team must share our passion and commitment for serving customers while also making Amazon a preferred destination for shoes customers. The candidate must be able to think big, work with ambiguity, and drive speed of experimentation. We are looking for self-starters with strong analytical skills and result orientation, capable of making and executing independent, data-driven decisions, and collaborating with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will have strengths in independent problem-solving, working around constraints, demonstrating great communication and writing skills, showing ownership and persistence, leading a team to achieve organizational goals, and managing projects effectively. Comfort with evolving structures in a dynamic space is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Building Selection: Identify selection gaps and track the brand’s offline catalog to ensure all relevant products are available on Amazon.
2. Demand Generation: Collaborate with the category management team to create marketing calendars aligned with vendor objectives to generate demand.
3. Business Advice: Support brand participation in Amazon programs.
4. Availability: Ensure continuous product availability.
5. Catalogue Quality: Ensure the brand provides the best input for customer-facing Amazon detail pages, including images and descriptions.
About the Team

Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, or marketing.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience with Excel
* 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
* Experience using data to influence business decisions
* Experience driving cross-team collaboration
* Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning strategies
