Your NewpanyA leading organisation within the engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Stores Co‑ordinator to join their operations team. This is a key role supporting the smooth flow of materials across Assembly, Production, Stores functions. You’ll play a central part in ensuring operational efficiency, stock accuracy, and on‑time delivery performance.
Your New RoleAs Senior Stores Co‑ordinator, you will take ownership of material flow, inventory integrity, and cross‑functionalmunication. You will act as a vital link between departments, ensuring materials are available when required and that stock movements are recorded accurately. Your responsibilities will include material flow and accurate movement of materials to Stores to support Assembly, Production, and other operational areas. Working closely with Assembly teams to ensure kits,ponents, and consumables are available as required. Maintaining accurate stock levels through cycle counting, stock rotation, and discrepancy investigation. Managing and recording all goods movements, including goods in/out, returns, quarantines, and transfers. Identifying low‑stock or at‑risk materials and escalating to Procurement. Liaising daily with Procurement, Assembly, Production, Planning, and Quality to resolve material issues. Providing hands‑on support across multiple functions, including kit assembly, material preparation, and urgent build requirements. Ensuring clearmunication of priorities and constraints between departments.Goods In / Goods Out
1. Receiving deliveries, checking documentation, and ensuring goods are inspected, booked in, and stored correctly. Preparing, packaging, and dispatching outbound goods in line with customer, quality, and logistics requirements. Updating ERP/MRP systems with accurate stock transactions, bin locations, and material movements. Supporting continuous improvement of data quality by identifying recurring errors or process gaps.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
2. Proven experience in a Stores, Warehouse environment.
3. Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy, and material flow.
4. Ability to work flexibly across functions such as Assembly, Procurement, Production, Picking, and Goods In/Out.
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
6. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and data entry.
8. Ability to interpret pick lists, BOMs, material requests, and delivery documentation.
9. Practical, hands‑on approach with the ability to safely lift and handle materials.
10. Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, and warehouse best practices.
11. Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
12. Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to investigate stock issues and propose solutions.
13. Experience within an engineering or stores/warehousing environment.
