About us
Aspect Eye Surgeons is a comprehensive and welcoming private ophthalmology practice in Cheltenham, Victoria. Our experienced ophthalmologists offer sub-specialty care in cataracts, glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics and general ophthalmology. We aim to give everyone a good experience of visiting or working in our clinic.
About you
We are seeking one or more enthusiastic qualified Orthoptists to join our small and friendly team at Aspect Eye Surgeons. We require your help to support our doctors part-time during 2025, then full time for maternity leave cover from January 2026 with potential to continue in a permanent full-time role. Experienced orthoptists may be preferred, but we are open to employing new graduates. We require you to possess approved qualifications in Orthoptics as recognised by the Australian Orthoptic Board and be eligible for registration with the Board. We are looking for someone with the capacity to support busy doctors and the activities of the clinic, aiming to deliver smooth patient-focused care. We will consider employing more than one person to fill the role if needed.
The Role
* Providing full range of clinical orthoptic services
* Assisting with patient triage and flow through the clinic
* Ordering, restocking, and sterilising instruments
* Assisting with intravitreal injections and other minor procedures
* Supporting day-to-day clinic operations as needed
Training will be provided for our software system Xestro, and any unfamiliar imaging equipment. We use the Zeiss OCT, IOL-master, HFA3 and the Pentacam.
