Job Description
Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Reports to: Design Manager
Location: Cookstown
Job Purpose: To work as part of a manufacturing team, designing and developing a range of motor control & power distribution panels to clients' specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret client requirements during the design phase of projects.
2. Prepare detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings for manufacturing motor control & power distribution panels.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant specifications, standards, and safety regulations throughout project development.
4. Prepare bills of materials for procurement.
5. Develop documentation for testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems.
6. Assist in the preparation of tenders.
7. Participate in design and process reviews for products.
8. Engage in problem-solving and brainstorming individually and as part of the design team.
9. Maintain and update electronic files using document management software.
10. Liaise with ENISCA clients to build effective working relationships.
11. Stay updated on UK and European legislation changes.
12. Keep abreast of technological advances and new products.
13. Develop personal skills through ongoing training.
14. Undertake other duties as appropriate to the role.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications / Knowledge (Essential): Electrical engineering qualification or relevant design experience in switchgear, automation, and electrical control systems. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. UK Driver's Licence, own transport, and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland.
Knowledge (Desirable): Experience with electrical design software such as EPlan & AutoCAD. Experience in the water industry.
Experience (Essential): 5 years of electrical experience or relevant qualification.
Desirable Experience: Designing electrical control systems, experience with EPlan & AutoCAD, and water industry experience.
Skills and Abilities
