About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a category C Prison located in the outskirts of Lancaster, Lancashire.
HMP Lancaster Farm consists of 550 male inmates.
The pharmacy team consists of six staff members; you will be based within the healthcare department but will also go into the wings to dispense medication.

Hours
* Monday – Sunday – 37.5 hours, four shifts per week
* 7:30 am – 5:30 pm or 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
* 1 in 6 weekends 8 am – 5 pm
* Rota’s are prepared six weeks in advance
Salary
This full‑time position offers an annual salary between £34,428 – £41,659 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

What You'll Be Doing
* Provide outstanding, quality based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from timely administration of medicines to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, making a real difference.

* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience

* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
