The pupils, staff and governors of Crofton Junior School wish to appoint a lunchtime supervisor until July to join our existing team to support a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) during the lunch period.
Your role will include:
1. Supervising a pupil with SEN during lunch time periods, ensuring a safe environment at all times.
2. Ensuring any concerns regarding pupils are reported and dealt with using the school’s procedures and do not go unchallenged.
3. Providing support to pupils where necessary whilst assisting to develop their independence.
4. Facilitating team games and activities to keep pupils engaged ensuring that the play equipment is fit for purpose and that the children are using it safely to play.
5. Interacting with children on the playground supporting their social and emotional development.
6. Assisting with keeping a clean and tidy lunchtime environment.
7. Providing feedback to the class teacher about the lunchtime period.
8. Reporting any potential safeguarding issues through to a designated safeguarding lead without delay.
9. Supporting the school in ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils.
