Payroll Clerk - Hale
Are you an experienced Payroll Clerk looking to join a friendly, professional team where your skills will be valued and rewarded? Our client, a well-established business in Hale providing outsourced payroll services to a wide range of companies across the UK, is looking for a confident and knowledgeable Payroll Processor to join their growing team.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service at every stage. This is a busy, varied role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, deadlines, and people!
Key Responsibilities
* Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
* Managing starters, leavers, and amendments
* Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP
* Submitting RTI and pension contributions
* Reconciling payroll reports and responding to client queries promptly
* Keeping up to date with current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
* Assisting with year-end processes such as P60s and P11Ds
About You
* Previous experience in a payroll processing role (ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice)
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and Auto-Enrolment
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A proactive approach to problem solving and client communication
* Experience using payroll software (such as Sage, BrightPay, or similar)
