Overview

If you enjoy providing great service and working in a team, we have the opportunity at our Farnham Vets for Pets practice to start as soon as possible on a fixed term basis.


Responsibilities

* Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to clients and the best care possible to their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team.
* Build strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team to support success.
* Provide great client service during visits to ensure client satisfaction and encourage return visits.
* Greet clients and offer support, guidance, and expertise; manage payments and future bookings confidently.
* Coordinate the day-to-day routines of the practice using the online booking system; computer literacy is a must.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover position working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends.

* You can provide guidance by staying up-to-date with the practice services and any additional services available.
* You are calm, attentive, and focused on the clients’ needs.
* You bring enthusiasm and drive to your role; your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
* You can handle varying situations, from comforting clients with bad news to celebrating a pet’s first vet visit.


Job details

* Answering phones quickly and effectively dealing with client inquiries.
* Booking appointments, registering new clients and pets, and processing payments.
* Entering data accurately in the practice management software.
* Dealing with email inquiries.
* Managing the diary daily.
* Ensuring test results are reported and filed on schedule.
* Ensuring the reception area meets hygiene standards.
* Cashing up each day.


Qualifications and skills

* Excellent face-to-face customer service experience.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Strong communication skills.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with problem-solving skills.
* Competent computer skills with the ability to learn a new practice management system.
* The ability to work to a high standard in a high-pressure environment.
* Available to work shifts starting at 8:00 and finishing at 19:15.
* Previous reception experience desirable.
