The Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance is seeking an organised and proactive Governance Administrator to support the Diocese's key governance structures and ensure the effective coordination of meetings, documentation and reporting across our programmes and projects. This role is based at St John's House in Bury and offers the option for occasional home working. From time to time, the role may require evening or weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Transformation Director, Governance Manager, senior clergy, support officers and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth governance processes.
* Schedule programme and project board meetings, collate and distribute agenda papers, take accurate minutes and maintain action logs.
* Manage electronic filing systems, follow up on reports and updates, monitor the team inbox and liaise with project leaders and teams as required.
Qualifications
* Strong administrative experience, ideally within a project support environment.
* Ability to produce clear and concise minutes.
* Excellent IT and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising sound judgement and discretion at all times.
* Genuine sympathy with the aims and values of the Church of England and an appreciation of diverse communities of the Diocese.
* Flexible approach to occasional travel, evening commitments and adjusting working patterns when needed.
