New Heights Charity aim:
To meet the needs of the most disadvantaged members of the Kingstanding community and to help to bring about social cohesion.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Implement and develop volunteer processes and procedures – including volunteer handbook, recruitment (including all DBS checks, references), induction, training, management, and personal development plans.
* Plan and deliver a range of activities/programme of events for the community, in line with user needs, budget requirements and funder targets. Evaluated by feedback to analyse achievement of metrics & outcomes
* Ensure the completion of risk assessments prior to each activity activities and events, reviewing them for effectiveness with reports to the Project Manager. Each must be approved by the Project Manager.
* Attend staff meetings and undertake any training
* Manage and maintain a volunteer & client database, including regular update of files and review of information, in line with UK law & New Height policies producing reports for the Project Manager as required
* Provide volunteer reference requests in line with company procedures
* In line with New Heights policies & procedure liaise & collaborate with internal & external stakeholders / partners to develop Omni channel materials to promote community awareness of services, activities, events and volunteering opportunities.
* Work with the Project Manager to proactively expand existing, and develop new, volunteer-led services to meet changing local need, including contribution to funding applications and project planning.
* Celebrate the contribution made by New Heights Charity volunteers, by nominating individuals and groups for awards, organising events and setting out good news stories / press releases.
* Support the publicity and communication of charity events, services, activities and successes on the charity's website.
* Produce reports to funders and trustees as agreed with the Project Manager.
* Ensure that all activities are managed in accordance with New Heights Charity policy and procedures, and UK law.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks commensurate with the role that may on occasion occur outside of normal business hour, this time will be claimed back as Time off in Lieu (TOIL).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13,104.00 per year
