About the role
* Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff to deliver high-quality classroom support that promotes a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils stay focused, build confidence, and actively participate in learning activities.
* Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
* personal care routines as required.
* Contribute to personalised learning plans, monitoring progress and adapting support strategies to ensure each pupil can thrive.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to boost wellbeing and participation.
* Help maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Classroom Support Assistant you will:
* Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
* Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
* Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* At least two years of experience supporting people with special educational needs.
