Our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Rochester, is currently seeking a Factory Operative to join their Wax Assembly team on an ongoing assignment via agency.
This is a hands-on production role supporting the assembly of wax runner systems prior to Ceramic Shell Line processing. The work requires attention to detail, safe working practices, and the ability to follow strict technical instructions while working with specialist tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Duties
1. Assemble wax runner systems in line with relevant Technique Cards and Work Instructions
2. Carry out manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
3. Operate band saw equipment for cutting wax bars
4. Use a range of tools and equipment including hot knives, hot platers, flames, and craft knives
Data Recording
5. Complete production bookings using a touchscreen system
6. Ensure accurate and timely completion of job cards
Health & Safety
7. Wear and correctly use PPE at all times
8. Follow COSHH requirements and refer to Material Safety Data Sheets where applicable
9. Adhere to all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
10. Maintain a strong awareness of safe working practices at all times
General Duties
11. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the department in line with 5S housekeeping standards
12. Support overall production efficiency through teamwork and attention to detail
About You:
13. Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation
14. Strong awareness of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
15. Comfortable working with hands-on tools & equipment
16. Previous factory or production experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
