Our Installation Operatives are responsible for carrying out the installation of bus shelters and associated infrastructure. This includes site preparation, groundworks, manual assembly, and the safe use of tools and equipment.
The role supports the company’s delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects for local authorities and other clients across the UK. It requires flexibility, teamwork, physical capability, and a strong focus on health and safety.
We are looking for operatives to undertake installation tasks efficiently and safely, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting team operations :
* - Perform groundworks and site preparation before, during, and after installation
* - Assemble and install bus shelters and associated products according to specifications
* - Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
* - Follow precise instructions and engineering drawings to ensure accurate installations
* - Comply with all health and safety standards, including manual handling procedures
* - Work outdoors in all weather conditions
* - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely project delivery
* - Report site issues or material shortages to supervisors
* - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, vehicles, and worksites
Training opportunities will be provided to support continuous development and upskilling, including qualification-related pay increases. Safety certifications, manual handling, and plant operation training may be included.
Occassional travel and overnight stays may be required depending on project location and scheduling. Accommodation and travel expenses will be covered in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* - Clean, Full UK Driving Licence
* - Willingness and ability to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting
* - Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
* - Good communication skills
Desirable:
* - Groundworks, construction, or site work experience
* - NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) Qualification
