We are seeking a committed and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage the operations of our care service. Reporting to the Director, the Registered Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, developing strategic plans, ensuring compliance with policies, and promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.
This is a multifaceted leadership role requiring strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and a passion for high-quality care and support. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to business development efforts and ensure continued service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Operational Management
• Provide effective leadership across all departments, including care, nursing, catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and administration.
• Uphold and implement the service’s policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
• Maintain operational standards in line with expectations set by the Registered Provider and within budget.
• Lead the marketing of the service and actively support business growth through strategic sales efforts.
Regulatory and Quality Assurance
• Ensure the service complies with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate service performance against goals and objectives.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
People Management
• Lead recruitment and ensure effective induction of new staff.
• Supervise, motivate, and appraise staff, particularly heads of department.
• Identify training needs and support ongoing staff development and succession planning.
• Embed effective multidisciplinary team working throughout the service.
Business Development and Client Engagement
• Respond to client and telephone enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Craft tailored, high-quality tenders to secure new business, demonstrating the service’s value and meeting client needs.
Professional Development
• Attend statutory and additional training as directed.
• Take ownership of personal and professional growth through development reviews and continuous learning opportunities.
