Overview
As part of the Corporate parenting partnership, you will oversee a caseload of children in care, to identify unmet health needs and work within the team to meet these needs. The Children in Care Health Team is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated individual to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of a service that promotes and ensures the delivery of high-quality specialist health care to Children and Young People (CYP) in care. This is a diverse health role working closely with CYP, their carers, other health professionals and multi‑agency colleagues. You will also work at the interface between health, local authorities and partner agencies to advance the national and local corporate parenting agenda for the health of CYP in care.
Are you an experienced community practitioner; Health Visitor, or School Nurse (with specialist practitioner qualification) with substantial experience working with Children and Young People in the community at Band 6 or above? Do you have experience in the design and delivery of training and the supervision of colleagues?
Are you interested in developing your career? Are you committed to improving services that promote the health of CYP in care? Do you have excellent communication skills and are you approachable, reliable and well organised? Are you prepared to provide a flexible approach to supporting young people, their carers and families? If the answer is yes, we are keen to hear from you.
