o Warehouse & Transport Manager – Job Specification
o Job Title: Warehouse & Transport Manager
o Location: Belfast
o Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager
o Role Purpose
o To oversee all warehouse and transport operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking, dispatch, and delivery of products. The Warehouse & Transport Manager will lead teams across both functions, maintain stock accuracy, ensure fleet compliance, and drive continuous improvement to support business growth and service commitments.
o Warehouse Operations
o Manage daily warehouse workflows including goods-in, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
o Maintain high standards of stock accuracy and product handling.
o Ensure warehouse layout and processes support efficiency and safe product flow.
o Enforce, review, and update warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
o Work closely with Purchasing and Sales teams to support demand planning and promotional activity.
o Transport & Distribution
o Lead delivery operations including route planning, scheduling, vehicle loading, and dispatch.
o Manage delivery drivers to ensure punctual, professional, and customer-focused service.
o Oversee fleet maintenance, MOTs, insurance, servicing, and compliance checks.
o Monitor tachographs, driver hours, and compliance with transport legislation.
o Control fuel usage, delivery costs, and route optimisation.
o Build strong customer relationships through reliable and flexible delivery performance.
o Team Leadership
o Lead, train, and motivate warehouse operatives and drivers.
o Create staffing rotas, manage attendance, and support training and development.
o Conduct performance reviews and manage KPIs across warehouse and transport teams.
o Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused working culture.
o Health, Safety & Compliance
o Ensure compliance with warehouse, workplace, and transport health & safety standards.
o Conduct audits, vehicle inspections, walkarounds, and risk assessments.
o Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse and yard environment.
o Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions.
o Systems & Reporting
o Maintain accurate data across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
o Produce reports covering stock accuracy, delivery performance, fleet efficiency, and labour productivity.
o Support digital improvements, automation, and process optimisation initiatives.
o Continuous Improvement
o Identify inefficiencies and deliver measurable operational improvements.
o Reduce waste, improve accuracy, and enhance service levels.
o Support business growth initiatives and seasonal planning.
o Qualifications & Experience
o 3–5+ years experience in warehouse, logistics, or transport management.
o Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
o Strong working knowledge of WMS, routing, and fleet management systems.
o CPC qualification (advantageous).
o Forklift certification (desirable).
o Experience within FMCG, food, or confectionery sectors is an advantage.

o Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 plus up to £5,000 bonus opportunity
