Are you a seasoned automotive professional ready to step into a leadership role? We’re working with a successful independent garage that’s proud of its family-run roots, modern approach, and strong reputation in the community — and they’re on the lookout for a hands-on Workshop Manager to join the team!
🔧 The Role:
You’ll take the reins of a busy, modern workshop, leading and supporting a team of 6–7 skilled technicians. This is a key position within the business where you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of operations and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate the daily workload of the workshop
* Support and motivate a team of 6–7 technicians
* Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
* Use TechMan (fully digital system) to manage workflow
* Assist with parts ordering and stock control
* Liaise with customers where necessary and ensure excellent service
* Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance
✅ What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in an independent garage is essential
* Strong technical background helpful (either as a technician or similar role)
* Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a big plus
* Familiarity with TechMan or similar workshop management systems
* Organised, hands-on, and great with people
💰 The Package:
* Basic salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
* Bonus scheme available
* Monday to Friday only – 8am to 6pm
* 20 days holiday + bank holidays
* Work with a tight-knit, family-run team
* Modern workshop with digitised systems throughout
