About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles across a variety of makes and models. You'll work alongside an experienced, supportive team in a well-equipped garage, delivering top-quality vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
* Perform diagnostics for engine, electrical, and sensor issues
* Undertake gearbox repairs, head gasket work, and general mechanical troubleshooting
* Support MOT testing (qualification preferred)
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
* Communicate effectively with the team regarding work progress and issues
About You
* Level 2 / Level 3 qualified (Level 3 preferred)
* Ideally 5+ years' experience in a busy workshop
* Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
* Capable of gearbox, head gasket, and general repairs
* MOT licence preferred (or willing to train)
* FGAS certification advantageous
* Professional, reliable, and a team player
* Full UK driving licence
