Position: Court of Protection Solicitor (Property & Affairs)

Oculus Legal Group is working with a highly regarded London law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Solicitor (0–1 PQE) into their dedicated Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) team. About the Role
You will work closely with senior solicitors in the team, gaining exposure to a wide range of deputyship and estate administration matters. Key Responsibilities
* Managing a supervised caseload of Court of Protection Property & Affairs matters
* Preparing and submitting deputyship applications to the Court of Protection
* Assisting with statutory will applications and estate administration
* Supporting senior lawyers on complex or contested deputyship cases
* Drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence to a high standard
* Investigating and addressing concerns of potential financial abuse
* Ensuring compliance with Court of Protection rules and maintaining accurate financial records
* Providing empathetic and professional support to clients, their families, and external advisers
Candidate Profile
* Recently qualified solicitor (0–1 PQE) or due to qualify within 6 months (will consider higher PQE)
* Demonstrable interest in Court of Protection work (Property & Affairs) or a background in health and welfare with a desire to transition
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity when working with vulnerable clients
* A proactive and collaborative approach, with enthusiasm to learn and develop in a niche practice area

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
