A well-established FMCG company is seeking a talented IS Service Support Engineer to join their Information Systems department. This role is based in Belfast but involves supporting multiple locations across the UK and Ireland.
Your RoleAs a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and improvement of the end-user experience and desktop environment. Your duties will include:
* Providing prompt and efficient remote support, with occasional travel to remote sites.
* Managing and maintaining hardware and software, including deployment, patching, and updates.
* Supporting user account management and authorisations.
* Diagnosing and resolving computer and application faults.
* Ensuring high availability and uptime of desktop/laptop systems.
* Developing processes and tools to enhance support capabilities.
What You Need to Succeed :
To excel in this role, you should have:
1. Experience in IS technologies, including Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, and common applications.
2. Knowledge of server technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtual servers.
3. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. The ability to prioritise tasks and manage stressful situations effectively.
