Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (5 days a week onsite). Contract: Permanent, full-time. Salary: Competitive depending on experience, plus benefits.

About The Project
Sizewell C (SZC) is at the heart of the UK’s clean energy revolution. This ground-breaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will play a vital role in delivering a sustainable future. Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.
The Role
The Project Manager reports directly to a Senior Project Manager and is responsible for the direction and leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of a contract or work package assigned to them.
Responsibilities:
* Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work, including interfaces with other programme elements.
* Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) related to the scope of work is delivered.
* Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
* Implement best practices in project management to optimize efficiency and quality.
* Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects/ground works projects (value size approx. minimum £20m plus).
* Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
* Experience in managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
* Significant experience in the development of programmes and resource management.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience with NEC contracts with multi‑programme construction background.
* Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations.
* Intellectual capacity to deal with complex issues, ability to deliver contract scope within a fast‑paced and changing environment.
* Experience working in a heavily regulated environment.
It’d be great if you’ve got a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree or chartered status in an engineering or construction, physics or other related field.
* Good knowledge in CDM regulations.
* Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM). Primavera P6.
* Valid CSCS & SMSTS card.
