Job Overview We are seeking a driven, commercially and strategic focused Sales Professional to play a key role in expanding our presence across the Island of Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with industry experience to take ownership of lead generation, build a strong sales pipeline, and convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships. Working within a fast-paced and growing business, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing clients. You will bring a proactive, hands-on approach, identifying opportunities, pricing projects, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs and staying one step ahead. Key Responsibilities Deliver and contribute to strategic Business Development Plans for key accounts Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Building Merchants, House Builders, Developers, Brickwork Contractors and Architects and Quantity Surveyors. Proactively manage a live project pipeline ensuring quotes, schedules, and follow-ups are delivered on time Identify and convert new business opportunities to strengthen market position Drive lead generation to support business growth, building and maintaining a strong client pipeline Act as a knowledgeable ambassador for our brand, products, and services Keep our CRM system updated daily to ensure accurate pipeline tracking Develop a thorough understanding of the business, including its current and future products and services Deliver sales and business development activities for both new and existing clients of Steels Lintels Establish and implement effective sales development processes to generate and convert leads Manage and oversee current sales team activities, covering both new business and existing client relationships Prepare and deliver sales presentations and attend meetings, conferences, buyer events, and industry exhibitions Ensure compliance with all relevant internal procedures, external regulations, and quality standards Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required from time to time, including oversee Sales Team performance Essential Criteria: Previous experience in a similar industry, or a strong background in Construction, Builders Merchants, and/or Engineering Proven ability to price and estimate jobs accurately Strong relationship management skills, with a track record of securing sales and obtaining new contracts Proactive and driven, with the initiative to identify and pursue new business opportunities Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Reliable, accountable, and hands-on in approach Desirable: Demonstrated success in business development, including evidence of obtaining new business and conducting field sales Minimum of 45 years experience in a field sales role within the industry Professional attitude, with excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail Willingness to work towards agreed sales targets (to be discussed at pre-interview stage) Reporting to Managing Director Steel Lintels Salary: Competitive Salary Range Commission Commercial Vehicle Fuel Card Expenses (Pending location) Open to negotiation depending on experience.
