Customer Technical Support Engineer
Type: Full Time / Permanent
Location: UK Office - Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience
We have a vacancy for a technical support engineer to join our Customer Technical Services team. The position involves supporting our range of IT and AV products both remotely (telephone and remote support) and on-site across the country. The successful candidate will have good organisational skills, a sound understanding of general IT and network‑related technologies, strong customer relation and communication skills, and may already be working as an IT technician or helpdesk engineer in a similar field. Product‑specific training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Provide remote and on-site technical support for IT and AV products
* Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and remote support tools
* Visit customers across the country to offer on-site assistance when required
* Participate in troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions
* Document and track support tickets and resolution steps
Qualifications
* Self‑motivated with strong organisational and time‑management skills
* Good customer‑relations and communication abilities
* Solid understanding of general IT and network‑related technologies
* Prior experience as an IT technician or helpdesk engineer preferred
* Full driving licence and ability to travel to customer sites on occasion; company vehicle provided when required
