The role:
The main duty of the Night Duty Manager is to be responsible for the operation
of the hotel during the night, while running night audits and providing
friendly and efficient reception service. This role is contracted for 40 hours
per week, four nights out of seven, and own transport is essential.
We need attentive, outgoing
individuals with a can-do attitude to make guests feel at home, from first
impression on the phone to final goodbye at the end of their stay.
What your nights could look
like:
* Oversee and assist in the smooth running
of all guest-related issues
* Have a physical presence at the front
desk until all guests have returned to their rooms
* Ensure the night audit is run accurately
and in line with SOPs
* Prepare the arrival cards and charge
cards for the following day’s arrivals
* Carry out regular floor checks
* Prepare and deliver any room service
orders
* Oversee the night cleaner and ensure all
areas are being cleaned to the required standard
* Clean any required areas in the absence
of a night cleaner
* Ensure the internal security of the
building. I.e. External doors are locked and secure, CCTV is monitored
regularly
* Be responsible for the cleanliness of the
reception area, and the cleaning and maintenance of the open fires
* Advise senior management of any major
incident as per emergency contact sheet
* Enforce and comply with all company
policies and procedures which are fundamental in maintaining effective
performance, communication and good business reputation
* Provide a detailed handover to the early
House Manager, including any guest related or maintenance issues
* Support the management team with any
relevant administration tasks as required
Job skills and requirements:
* A minimum of two years’ experience in a
similar role
* Experience of running night audit
* Excellent communication skills
* Diplomatic nature
* A sound knowledge of a hotel integrated
PMS system
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office, Word,
Excel & Outlook
* Previous front-of-house experience
* First Aid qualification is preferred
* Current Enhanced DBS check is preferred
* Fire warden experience is preferred
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Commitment to customer service
* Strong team player, with bags of
enthusiasm and personality
