You'll remain on the tools carrying out servicing, fault-finding, and minor remedial works, while also acting as the technical point of reference for the wider service engineering team. This role suits an experienced engineer who wants to progress into a technical lead position without moving into a desk-based management role. Key Responsibilities Servicing, diagnostics, fault-finding, and minor remedial works during PPM visits Providing technical support to other engineers (remote and on site) Acting as the senior technical authority across fire and life safety systems Auditing engineers' work, logbooks, and worksheets to ensure quality standards Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and trainees Leading by example in technical delivery, paperwork quality, and professionalism Supporting client relationships and feeding back technical insights Attending manufacturer training to maintain and extend system knowledge Technical Experience Required You'll be an experienced senior fire service or fire alarm engineer, ideally with exposure to: Fire alarm systems: Gent, Notifier, Siemens Cerberus Pro, Edwards EST3 (or similar) Voice Alarm / EVAC / PA systems Suppression systems: FM200, inert gas, water mist (or similar) Software configuration and programming experience Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability Additional exposure to CCTV, access control, or IP networking is beneficial but not essential.
