Cancer Alliance Project Support Administrator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Primary Care and Neighbourhoods team which manages the on-going design, development and delivery of new and existing services across the Peninsula Cancer Alliance, supporting system-wide priorities and the ongoing transformation of cancers services. The team works collaboratively with clinical, operational and system partners, and translates strategic priorities into practical, deliverable service models.

* Develop a unified vision for cancer services in the Peninsula and in accordance with the Cancer LTP;
* Establish consistency of standards for pathway management, clinical protocols and provision of cancer treatments;

* Reduce costs through reducing duplication and variation;
* Maximise research and training across the system;
* Ensure meaningful engagement with the public and patients and other key partners on the development and their delivery of their plans;

Main duties of the job
* The Project Support Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the Programme Team, helping to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of programme activities.
* Working across Devon and Cornwall, the postholder will act as a key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders and will support effective communication, organisation, and coordination across the programme.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage a varied workload effectively. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with a broad range of colleagues and partners, including clinical professionals, operational teams, senior managers, and external stakeholders across health and care organisations.
The postholder will support the monitoring and tracking of projects throughout their lifecycle, from development and implementation through to benefits realisation.
The role will suit someone who is comfortable working within a dynamic and evolving environment, supporting the ongoing development of cancer services within emerging neighbourhood models of care. The successful candidate will be expected to use their initiative to plan and manage their own workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet competing deadlines and organisational requirements.

* Provide specialist project and administration support and advice to the teams and/or Sector by:
* Be able to create visuals with data in order to aid discussions around change.
* Consolidate and manage data returns to support or underpin project activity

* Assist the team with stakeholder engagement by developing update reports and maintaining contact databases.

* Maintain and manage key stakeholder contact list for the programme to ensure that key communications are appropriately targeted
* To lead on appropriate projects as required thereby supporting the improvements in access and outcomes for cancer patients and their families in the primary care or community context.

* To work collaboratively across the NHS England/Improvement and with the Devon & Cornwall IoS ICS

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
* Demonstrable experience or understanding in a cancer pathway
* Demonstrable experience of communications and able to take on the lead on work related to this.
* Significant demonstrable administrative/secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems
* Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information
* Proven intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
* Understanding of the Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
* Proven knowledge of NHS issues
* Demonstrable experience of social media and writing content for posts
* PMO Experience
Qualifications
* Educated to NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
