Front End Assessment Team
Duties :
Receiving and prioritising referrals concerning children at risk, including initiating statutory Section 47 (child protection) and Children in Need assessments.
Conducting in-depth needs and risk evaluations, considering physical, emotional, mental health, education, housing, finances, family dynamics, and potential abuse.
Identifying risks and protective factors for children and young people, escalating concerns as appropriate, and ensuring the child's views and well-being are central to the assessment.
Developing, implementing, and reviewing child-centred care plans that address identified needs and promote positive outcomes.
Working closely with various agencies such as police, health, education, and youth justice services to provide timely and effective support and participate in safeguarding meetings, child protection conferences, and court hearings.
Maintaining accurate case records, preparing clear, concise, and analytical reports, and providing professional evidence if required.
Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations.
Qualifications and requirements :
Social work qualification
Registered with SWE
