Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists is located in Winchester, Hampshire, near Southampton. We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and passionate Patient Care Assistant Manager to join our team. This full-time role involves working 40 hours per week with shifts from 5:45 am to 6:30 pm, including 1 in 4 Saturday shifts and bank holiday participation.
The role includes:
* Leading and supporting the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) team in delivering high-quality patient care.
* Combining clinical support with team management, training, and coordination of non-clinical duties to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborating with other department managers to promote a cohesive approach to patient care and practice efficiency.
Clinical duties involve overseeing daily clinical tasks such as patient handling, medication preparation, maintaining patient accommodation, in-patient care, infection control, diagnostic imaging support, and assisting veterinary staff.
Non-clinical duties include managing the PCA team, providing mentorship and training, fostering a positive team culture, conducting meetings, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, participating in audits, and collaborating across departments.
Requirements include previous team leadership experience, strong communication skills, effective time management, compassion, and mentorship experience. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential. Desirable qualifications include experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant or similar support role.
