We are seeking a Technical Coordinator to join a large international team in Newcastle or Edinburgh, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of the Energy, Water and Infrastructure team with a focus on CDM and health and safety, coming from a technical design background.
Our client has a number of high-profile frameworks within the sector and is looking for a Technical design background. This is a fantastic role for a design engineer from various sectors who has an interest in developing and learning more skills within Health and Safety and CDM. Training and support will be provided for engineers without experience in H&S. You will work on a variety of Water projects including Flood and Coastal defence, Green Infrastructure, Dams and Reservoirs, and Sustainable Drainage systems. You will also support teams across the UK within the wider Structures, Development Infrastructure, and Highways land development teams.
You will support the Principal Designer with development plans to prepare you for the role in the coming years. You will adhere to project compliance with client management systems and internal systems, coordinate design risk management while maintaining and promoting health and safety legislation.
Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a technical design role
* Interest in Health and Safety management and CDM, aiming to become the principal design coordinator
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
* Working towards or have achieved chartership with a professionally accredited body
* Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external professionals
