About the role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Unison Area Organiser. UNISON is Britains largest public sector trade union, with over 1.3 million members working in the public services, private, voluntary and community sectors and in the energy services.
As an Area Organiser, you will support Regional Organisers to establish organising frameworks in the region to include Recruitment Planning and Campaigning, Research and Information to support campaigning, Mentoring and training new stewards as well as undertaking other duties as required by the grade definition or job profile of this post
About you:
Do you have:
1. Experience of developing solutions to resolve problems
2. Experience of motivating people to participate in activities
3. Experience of prioritising own workload
4. Experience of project co-ordination
5. A working Knowledge of Employment Law
6. An understanding of Trade Union and commitment to the principles of equality and democracy
