Manager Says
The Advisory Analyst supports the Head of Advisory and other Analytics team leads and brokers by performing research, data and financial analysis; creating presentations, models, reports, and other documents and tools; and assisting with the development and execution of consulting projects and transactions with (re)insurance carriers, distributors, and capacity / capital providers. Consulting projects and transactions involve insurable risk transfer including traditional reinsurance treaty, securitization, and index-based contracts; buy-side M&A advisory and transaction due diligence; insurance solvency and financial strength ratings advisory; and related work.
The Analyst will join a collaborative, creative, and dynamic team that encourages continuous learning and growth. There will be ample opportunities for hands-on learning and skill development in risk modelling, actuarial and data science, and financial analysis.
Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities
* Work collaboratively and transparently with colleagues and clients to coordinate, track, and progress transactions and consulting project delivery
* Support brokers and the Head of Advisory in business development activities
* Develop and deploy practical working knowledge of insurance markets, products, and players
* Contribute to the development, design and implementation of products and services
Experience And Education Requirements
* University degree or relevant professional experience related to discipline.
* Background in data science, economics, accounting, or finance preferred
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to the detail, design, and presentation of analytic work products
* Capacity and desire to expand responsibilities with experience
* Strong project management skills
* Responsive to changing priorities and multiple deadlines
Technical
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Experience with Bloomberg and other tools is a plus
