Location: Chester City Centre (onsite)

We’re partnered with a rapidly growing global tech business that values collaboration, modern ways of working, and a supportive team culture. They’re looking for a Finance Executive to join their team, someone who thrives on variety, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and wants to make a real impact as the company continues to grow. In this role, you’ll be a key player in the finance team, keeping core processes running seamlessly while helping to drive improvements along the way.
The Role
You will be part of a small, close-knit finance team, so expect to wear many hats from handling day-to-day transactions to managing contractors, supporting month-end, and influencing process improvements. This is a hands-on role with real variety, perfect for someone who’s confident on the phone, comfortable with cloud-based software like Xero, and excited by working in a modern, dynamic setting.
Finance Executive Responsibilities
* Managing daily financial transactions, reconciliations, intercompany entries and journals
* Credit control and regular contact with contractors, customers, and suppliers
* Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
* Preparing reports, variance analysis, and management information packs
* Handling VAT returns, PSA calculations, intermediary reporting
* Managing weekly cash flow forecasts and drawdowns
* Monthly commission calculations
* Onboarding new contractors onto finance systems
* Liaising with external accountants and auditors

Finance Executive Requirements:
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar finance role
* AAT Level 3 qualified or above
* Proficiency with Xero and other cloud-based finance tools
* Confident communicator, especially over the phone
* High attention to detail, organisational ability, and communication skills
* A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
* Comfortable wearing multiple hats within a small, collaborative team
