To be successful as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a great leader and positive team player, with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sectors within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Lead by example, prioritizing customers.
* Maintain customer focus in all operations.
* Manage staff scheduling to meet customer demand.
* Support operational efficiency and conduct regular store walks.
People
* Encourage staff suggestions and concerns.
* Provide performance feedback, set goals, and support development.
* Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees.
* Handle performance management in collaboration with HR.
Driving Sales
* Understand sales trends, popular products, and peak times.
* Ensure proper merchandising and marketing campaign execution.
* Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
* Identify improvement opportunities and motivate continuous enhancement.
Operations
* Monitor KPIs like sales, employee turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Set an example by maintaining composure under pressure.
* Manage stock orders and quality checks.
* Oversee equipment maintenance and inventory management.
* Ensure proper opening and closing procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and operational standards, including food hygiene and customer experience.
* Follow health and safety protocols, reporting incidents promptly.
* Be available to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience managing restaurants.
* Flexible and disciplined work approach.
* Food environment experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
