We are currently recruiting for a talented Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Medical Negligence team based in our Sheffield office, led by Partner
Anna has specialised in medical law since 2000 and is nationally recognised for her expertise in birth and neonatal injuries, maternal birth injuries, orthopaedic treatment leading to amputation, and adult brain and spinal injuries. She is known for her meticulous approach and compassionate client care, consistently praised by Chambers & Partners and clients alike
Our Sheffield team works exclusively on medical negligence cases, supporting clients across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. We handle some of the most complex and life-changing claims, including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, cancer misdiagnosis, and fatal claims, often involving inquests
You will manage your own caseload while assisting senior team members with high-value, complex cases. You’ll be involved from start to finish, applying your analytical and commercial skills to identify key issues and deliver practical, empathetic solutions. Where appropriate, you’ll aim to secure interim payments to support rehabilitation, care packages, and suitable accommodation before final settlement.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about medical negligence and is keen to develop their career with as at IM. Our ideal candidate will:
1. Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
2. Have the ability to take instructions from clients and provide sound legal advice
3. Demonstrable technical experience in medical negligence law
4. Experienced assisting seniors on complex, high-value cases
5. Strong case management skills with exceptional attention to detail
6. Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for clients
