Our client is TipTopJob, established for 60 years, specialising in the design, manufacture and support of bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for supply throughout the world. They are seeking an experienced, self-motivated multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to install, service, repair and provide technical support for automated laboratory equipment in clinical and industrial markets in the Hertfordshire / St Albans / Watford region of the UK.
Responsibilities
* Installations, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support for a range of automated laboratory equipment in clinical and industrial markets; work in hospitals, laboratories and with blue chip FMCG clients.
* Manage vehicle stock inventory and ensure supporting documentation is completed in accordance with engineering and service department requirements.
* Attend initial in-house training and any required external training courses to gain or maintain knowledge; stay up to date with industry developments.
* Assist with project work to meet deadlines and provide customer on-call support as part of the Service Team rota.
* Understand and comply with all relevant company policies and industry regulations, including Health and Safety at Work, and follow SSOW on site.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence.
* Qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
* 3 or more years' experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment; laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
