Christmas Customer Assistant - Food (Nights) - Meadowhall
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Food section, where you'll champion our high-quality products, great value offers, and excellent customer service. We’re seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with our customers.
You'll be a brand ambassador ready to recommend our newest Food products. Through remarkable service you will ensure customers feel valued every time they shop with us. You should be prepared to work hard and go above and beyond every day.
We expect you to be digitally confident. You’ll utilise our digital tools, such as the Sparks App and our in-store devices, to enhance the customer experience and ensure customers get the products they want when they need them. Being a team player is crucial, creating a great, inclusive store environment and supporting colleagues and the local community. Flexibility is vital – you should be confident to work across various areas of the store and adapt to changing retail demands.

Due to operational requirements, all successful candidates will be asked to work up to full time during the weeks commencing 14th and 21st December.

Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour plus £3.00 per hour for any hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Work Pattern: Sunday 23:00-07:00; Saturday 23:00-07:00.
Job Description
Purpose: To deliver a great shopping experience for our customers by putting customers before tasks and championing our brilliant products. As the face of the business, you will be the voice of our customers helping us to continually improve.
Key Accountabilities
* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points
* Keep the store clean and tidy and ensure shelves are stocked
* Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
* Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and promote our products and services
* Receive training to use digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer
