Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Head Server will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the front-of-house team, managing service operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the culinary arts, and an ability to effectively manage time and resources.
Duties
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
* Train, mentor, and manage the serving staff to deliver exemplary guest services.
* Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
* Implement and uphold food safety standards and hygiene practices throughout the restaurant.
* Assist in menu planning and suggest upselling techniques to enhance guest experience.
* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to maintain a positive dining atmosphere.
* Conduct regular inventory checks of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
* Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and culinary techniques to provide accurate information to guests.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Indian restaurant or hospitality environment is essential; experience as a Head Server is preferred.
* Strong understanding of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
* Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions and managing bills.
* Demonstrated ability in upselling products to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
* Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is highly desirable.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 38 per week
