Blackheath's leading Ladies Only Gym opened in June 2025 and we are looking for an energetic, motivated and hardworking manager to build upon our roaring start
We are GLO (Goldex Ladies Only) and following the success of our first ladies only gym in Sidcup, we are extremely excited to have opened our second site in the heart of Blackheath.
Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Gym Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will (not exhaustive):
* Oversee team members, including performance reviews; leave requests; welfare and return-to-work meetings (with support from HR and Multi-Site Manager, as needed).
* Implement strategies from Multi-Site Manager and uphold consistent service standards throughout all operating hours.
* Draft rotas for approval by Multi-Site Manager. Ensure own rotation in the working month to oversee different staff and members.
* Ensure staff are fully trained (H&S, first aid, procedures, software) and upholding high standards.
* Manage initial HR issues raised by team members.
* Ensure the gym remains clean and tidy at all times.
* Maintain full staff coverage during trading hours and coordinate with Multi-Site Manager for absence cover.
* Support team development through training and experience sharing.
* Monitor studio classes and PT sessions for quality control.
* Assist with marketing, outreach, and fundraising - lead by example in campaign execution.
* Complete required weekly/monthly safety checks (e.g., fire).
Experience:
* At least 2 years managerial experience at a gym
* Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
* Level 2 Personal Exercise Qualification
* First Aid Qualification (desired)
* Ability to educate and motivate staff effectively
* Excellent communication skills
