Spire Yale Hospital, Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a Bank Porter to join their dynamic and experienced Portering team working on an as and when basis to help cover sickness, annual leave and busy period in their team.

Working Hours: Various shifts available Monday through Saturday, flexibility is required
Contract type: Bank/Zero hours
As Porter, you will be responsible to provide the highest standards of personal service to patients and staff in all departments and to provide a highly efficient and courteous portering and distribution service throughout the
hospital. You will work as multi-skilled member of the team providing high level, quality support to
the hospital, covering any of the courier, portering, and security duties.
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
To transfer, transport and guide patients safely around the hospital, as required, in a caring, sympathetic and professional manner
To assist in the safety of patients, staff and consultants
To collect and deliver clean and dirty linen
Responsible for the teams safe management of the collection and disposal of waste, both domestic and clinical in line with corporate and hospital policy WM01
To ensure teams compliance with all Health & Safety at Work Regulations
To ensure the service corridor is kept clear and tidy at all times
To assist with the general security of the hospital and associated grounds and report any security problems to the Senior Management team
Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance department via Pirana
To undertake driving duties as required
What do you need to have?
Whilst no formal qualifications are required you must be able to communicate with other members of staff and patients clearly and your personal appearance must be of a high standard, expected in a professional healthcare environment.
A clean driving licence is essential
Experience of delivering frontline customer service and working in a similar environment
Excellent customer manner
Good communication and organisational skills
Excellent customer care skills
Ability to work without supervision
Caring and sympathetic
Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends
