Overview
Dual Service Operative (Security & Cleaning) at Anchor Group Services. Location: St Johns Shopping Centre, Liverpool. Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (18:00–00:00), average 21 hours per week. Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour (rising to £13.50 per hour when covering control room shifts).
A valid SIA licence is required, a CCTV licence is preferred; training is available for the successful candidate. This role combines security and cleaning responsibilities to keep the centre safe, clean, and welcoming. You may also provide cover for night-time security officers when they are on leave or absent, with a flexible night shift rota (typical 19:00 – 07:00 on a 4 on, 4 off basis).

Responsibilities Include
* Delivering security services in line with site-specific Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and procedures.
* Monitor and protect the property, people, and assets by identifying and reporting irregularities.
* Respond to and escalate incidents appropriately to the Control Room, Soft Services Manager, Ops Management, or Emergency Services.
* Complete detailed reports and logs of observations, incidents, and surveillance activities.
* Ensure compliance with legal and site-specific requirements to uphold the organisation’s reputation.
* Carry out routine and reactive cleaning tasks, including litter picking, spill response, mopping, and general upkeep of the centre.
* Operate cleaning equipment, including the T7 robotic scrubber dryer, to maintain hygiene standards.
* Provide a professional and friendly front-line service to customers and visitors.
* Respond to customer queries and requests with a helpful and solution-focused approach.
* Maintain a visible presence on site, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.
* Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
* Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth running of the centre.
Requirements
* Full 5-year employment checkable history
* A valid SIA licence; a CCTV licence is preferred - training is available for the successful candidate
* Customer service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
* Flexible to meet the job requirements
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Smart appearance and well-groomed
* Reliable and punctual
* High level of enthusiasm and passion
* Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
