Role: Part time Communications Manager
Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Main purpose of role
* Full outbound communications responsibility across social media and networking channels used by our brands, ensuring planned and measured execution inline with commercial plans for our brands and channels.
* Manage all offline communications for the brand, ensuring activities are measured and aligned to wider brand plans; activity includes – but is not limited to – events, direct mailings, competitions, plus outdoor and radio advertising.
* Proactive collection of case study content across consumer and contract channels, arranging photography and contact quotes / testimonials to deliver compelling / inspiring content to demonstrate brands’ positioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Role has responsibility for all (non paid) communications for the Spaceslide brand. Also, responsible for Contract LinkedIn activity and internal (Home Source) communications and charity activity.
* To work closely with the commercial leads for each brand to ensure core messaging is communicated effectively. Close liaison with the in house creative and eCommerce teams is essential.
* To work closely with Showroom team and the Web & Showroom Sales Executive to gain feedback and extract local insight and opportunity.
* Ensure all content meets network guidelines (and those recommended for SEO benefit) whilst being on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice etc.
Knowledge & Experience
* Attention to detail and excellent copy writing skills are essential in this role.
* An understanding of current best practice for consumer communications and engagement, with experience of social platforms and supporting tools.
* PR experience desirable, understanding media / journalist requirements and means of maximising opportunities through this kind of activity.
Key Skills & Qualifications Required
* Degree level educated ideally with a background in retail marketing and / or communications.
* An ability to interface with colleagues from all departments of the business and external agencies is key.
* Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills, methodical and able to prioritise workload effectively, with the ability to respond promptly and work to deadlines.
* Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, being pro-active and able to work on own initiative and in teams.
* An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
