About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced qualified electrician to join our Housing Association division and deliver high‑quality domestic electrical solutions across Scotland.
As an Electrician – Domestic, you will conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), install distribution boards, and provide reactive maintenance services to residents in housing association properties. This role offers stability, variety, and the satisfaction of supporting vulnerable tenants with essential electrical services.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough EICR inspections in compliance with IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) across housing association properties.
* Install and upgrade consumer units in social housing properties.
* Provide prompt and effective solutions for electrical faults and issues for housing association tenants.
* Participate in an on‑call rota for urgent electrical problems.
* Produce accurate, detailed inspection and maintenance reports for housing association clients.
* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and housing association standards.
* Communicate professionally and compassionately with housing association residents.
* Engage in ongoing training and team collaboration.
Essential Requirements
* Valid electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 2391, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in domestic electrical work, particularly EICRs and consumer unit installations.
* Current ECS card.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
* Outstanding communication skills and customer‑service approach.
* Ability to work sensitively with diverse tenants in social housing environments.
