Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant Dermatologist to work within a hospital based in Edinburgh.
Consultant Dermatologist - Edinburgh
* Pay Rate: £2000 per day
* Start Date: ASAP
* Location: Edinburgh
* Contract Type: Locum / Ongoing
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician to provide specialist dermatology services to both new and follow-up patients, contributing to high standards of patient care within a well-supported department.
Position Details
* Start: As soon as possible
* Duration: Ongoing / long‑term locum
* Working pattern: Monday to Friday (full‑time) – part time considered
* Competitive daily rate: £2000 per day (depending on experience and scope of work)
Duties of the role
* See & Treat (Outpatients and Minor Ops)
Indicative pathways
* Tumour / 2‑week waits
* Biopsy
* General Dermatology – Consultants review general dermatology and tumour (2WW) patients / medical photographs where required
Experience Required
* Dermatology consultants – no additional skills required
* SDL with dermatology experience
* HCAs with dermatology experience and phlebotomy experience for at least 2 of the outpatient HCAs
* Scrub nurse or derm nurse with dermatology experience
* Qualified plastic surgeons who have performed both biopsies and minor operations for working in MOPS clinics – skin experience / derm accepted
Requirements
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
* CCT or equivalent qualification in Dermatology
* Extensive NHS or UK experience as a consultant dermatologist
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Right to work in the UK
