Pastoral Support Worker - Mainstream Secondary School - Newham - ASAP Start - 115 - 120 per day (depending on experience)
Pastoral Support Worker required to join a Mainstream Secondary School located in Newham. The role involves working closely with students to support attendance, behaviour and learning potential, alongside the school’s Behaviour Team and Pastoral Manager.
Responsibilities
* Monitor student attendance and behaviour.
* Identify students at potential risk and work with external agencies as needed.
* Support progress monitoring and contribute to creating a positive, encouraging environment for students.
* Collaborate with the Head of Years and other staff within the behaviour and pastoral teams.
School and Location
This is a diverse, highly supportive mainstream secondary school in the borough of Newham. The school is recruiting for an enthusiastic Pastoral Support Worker starting ASAP on a long-term contract with potential to become permanent after three school terms. A strong team of behaviour and pastoral specialists provide ongoing support.
Requirements
* Experience as a Pastoral Support Worker, preferably with secondary or PRU settings.
* Experience working closely with students to improve attendance, behaviour and learning potential.
* Ability to work with the Behaviour Team and Pastoral Manager to support student outcomes.
Contract and Salary
Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm. Salary: 115-120 per day (depending on experience). Start date: ASAP. Contract length: long-term with potential to become permanent after three school terms.
