Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Counsellor to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. Community Counsellor (Out of hours) In this role, you will: * Deliver quality short term, trauma informed and attachment aware counselling * Carry out robust assessments referred to CDI by those wishing to seek counselling and by our partner agencies. * Use agency outcome measures, evaluation, and feedback tools to track and record the young persons therapeutic journey. About You You will: * Ba a graduate or post graduate level. Counselling Diploma or equivalent * Be a Registered Member or an Accredited Member of the BACP or another appropriate professional body (e.g. UKCP, HPC) * Have two years minimum duration of personal counselling or psychotherapy.
