A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Bid Manager for Small Gas Turbines, where your expertise will be pivotal in preparing bids or proposals for a diverse global customer base. You will collaborate closely with our regional Sales teams, reviewing customer specifications and configuring offers that stand out in the marketplace. Your role will involve engaging with customers to clarify their needs, addressing inquiries, and refining proposals to ensure they meet customer expectations and company capability, considering potential risks. After a sale, you will transfer what has been sold to our Project Management team for execution, ensuring a smooth handover. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment!
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. You will analyse customer requirements and create competitive proposals that align with their needs.
2. You will make recommendations to management for bid approval, ensuring alignment with company strategy and consideration of potential risks.
3. You will attend clarification meetings with customers and the regional Sales team, addressing inquiries and refining proposals to enhance competitiveness.
4. You will facilitate the transfer of finalised contracts to the Project Management team, ensuring all details are communicated effectively.
5. You will travel globally approximately four times a year to engage with customers and support bid activities.
What You Bring
1. An engineering degree, or equivalent experience, with a proven technical background.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to determine customer requirements and develop flawless proposals.
3. Effective communication and customer engagement abilities, to participate in meetings and address inquiries effectively.
4. A collaborative approach, working in team environments to achieve ambitious goals.
5. Demonstrated experience in preparing bids and proposals for a global customer base.
6. A dedication to excellence and a drive to compete and succeed in a demanding environment.
